Transcriptome Analysis
RNA sequencing is a powerful and cost-effective tool to analyze a whole transcriptome of any species. Typically, NGS based RNA-seq can provide Digital gene expression analysis, gene annotation, functional prediction, SNP and molecular marker development. In standard RNA-seq protocol, random primers are used for cDNA synthsis after the fragmentation of mRNA. This approach is not able to discover anti-sense transcripts and novel non-coding RNAs, which are important for operons characterization and gene regulation network study.
